Reliable electricity infrastructure as a health systems intervention
The consortium installed sensors at Congolese hospitals in partnership with North Kivu Health Division in 2022, then power system upgrades in 2024, and has maintained energy as a service to dozens of hospitals in the DRC ever since. Sustainable Energy for All (SEforALL) and the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) awarded the consortium a Powering Healthcare Innovation Grant in 2025 to make insights and learnings from six facilities in North Kivu, eastern DRC globally available as a digital public good.
